Exposes Key Figures Ready to Implement Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda
WASHINGTON – Today, State Democracy Defenders Action and Court Accountability Action launched Trump Project 2025 Administration, a comprehensive resource that identifies and maps the dozens of potential key appointees across offices and agencies — and areas of influence – in a possible second Trump administration.
“Personnel is policy. We built this site to analyze how and why the leaders of a Trump Administration 2.0 could do enormous damage to our democratic institutions and rule of law. This site offers a troubling preview of those standing ready to implement Team Trump’s extreme agenda by gutting checks and balances, weakening the rule of law and stripping rights and freedoms from millions of people in America,” said Ambassador Norman Eisen (ret.), co-founder of State Democracy Defenders Action. “Our hope is that this resource raises awareness and helps pro-democracy actors prepare for the autocratic threats that would be unleashed by the demolition crew-in-waiting that is ready to undermine our democracy on day one.”
In addition to helping users get an overall sense of the potential incoming Trump Administration, highlighted in the “Personnel Profiles” page, the site lets users go deep on potential appointees, legislative leaders, and judicial actors — and assess risk levels on critical issues. It exposes those who could play a role in advancing Project 2025’s shocking plans from inside a future Trump Administration.
The site highlights the cumulative risks these individuals, armed with the Project 2025 agenda and Trump’s additional autocratic threats, pose to economic and political stability and to our democracy.
“A Project 2025 Administration threatens Americans’ safety and national security. Since Trump’s first term, MAGA Congressmembers and MAGA Supreme Court judges have auditioned for a second Trump term,” said Alex Aronson, executive director of Court Accountability. “With the MAGA Supreme Court Justices and other Trump judicial appointees paving the way, Trump’s Project 2025 Administration would have every piece in place to make its extreme agenda the reality for every American.”
Lisa Graves, Co-founder of Court Accountability and its research arm, added: “Project 2025 poses a grave threat to our freedoms and our prosperity. It reflects the authoritarian, theocratic, and plutocratic agenda of Trumpist insiders whose destructive and regressive ideas must be exposed.”
The Legislative and Judicial Context pages remind Americans of the conditions surrounding the Executive Branch. They inform estimates of the feasibility of a Trump Administration imposing a Project 2025 agenda as well as the likelihood of such an administration prioritizing that agenda over any competing visions or interests.
